shashi tharoor: more sinned against than sinned??

Sorry 4 that cliche, bt we 2day c a man's fall being celebrated by our media. This was someone who represented India in the race for UN sec gen post and we see him being victimised for petty political gains and bussiness bigoteries of some.

Tharoor is not only a man with a distinguished diplomatic career but also a distinguished literary person with excellent rhetoric who easily handles n no of languages. He took the hard route of lok sabha election, where many wud have preffered an easy nomination 2 rajya sabha.

the man, i have my gut sayin more emphatically than ever, was victimzd and needs our backing. 2day we understand him nt as an hero or a savior bt as some1 like us let down by our system. i sincerely feel we need to back him in this hour of distress.

what do u guys think.........

  1. aravind there is one thing u need to understand...yes! i accept that tharoor is a distinguished person and has been let down by the SYSTEM...but the fact is that u need to understand the pulse of politics and the people to become a gud politician, the mass/ mob is not always lukin for sense in wat u say or do...they are more impressed by the gimmicks...it is coz tharoor lacks that kinda mass appeal it was easy to chuck him out...i think it wud do him gud to take a leaf outa dr manmohan singh's diary:)

  2. I too feel v need to extend our support at least to make those righteous men understand that public has voice. How long can v dwell on these political machinations. Let’s applaud Tharoor as he has apparently turned over a new leaf in politics

  3. Guys, you should have listened to the debate on ndtv about the call for Raja's resignation in which Tharoor's name also figured because he had resigned. Tharoor was for the Congress the middle-class mascot. And that is why he contested in TVPM. City of Govt. employees, middle-class. Expendable for he does not have the kind of support and base that say the FM or HM or PM has. Not even what Kerala CM has for that matter!! He got caught in the wind and had to be cut. He would have entangled more kites. Sorry guys, no sentiments.
